First of all, the strength of these two joints can reach 80-90% of the conveyor belt; the mechanical joint strength can only reach 60-65%. Moreover, this connection method does not leak material, is not easy to tear and damage the drum. But these two connection methods also have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Conveyor belt cold bonding: the advantage is that the bonding speed is fast, the time is short, the cost is low, and the location is better to choose. The disadvantage is that it has high requirements on the environment, such as rain and snow, dust, and adhesives are greatly affected by temperature. 



Durability is not as long as hot tack. Temperature, humidity or conveyor belt thickness is not suitable for cold bonding.

Conveyor belt thermal bonding: Since the thermal bonding joint is completely closed, it is less affected by the environment and has a long service life. 

Disadvantages Hot joints require a vulcanizer, a 380 power supply, and the handling of the conveyor is laborious. Relatively high cost.

Conveyor belt steel mouth joints: steel mouth joints are made of steel buckles at the joints. There are many types of steel buckles, and you can choose different steel buckles and models with more thickness. 

The advantages are easy installation and processing, and the service life is not as good as machine heat connection.
